Meribel is at the heart of the world's largest ski area, The Three Valleys. It is the central valley in the ski area meaning it is the best place to stay if you want to be able to effortlessly explore everything this turly fantastic ski area has to offer.
Three Valley Overview
The Three Valley ski area encompasses Courchevel, Meribel, Belleville (Saint Martin, Les Menuires & Val Thorens) and Orelle (the secret fourth valley). Although, the Belleville valley is more commonly refered to as Val Thorens.

When Will Meribel Open?
Meribel itself is open year round as it is a town within its own right. Although a lot of the shops, bars and restaurants do close outside of the Winter and Summer season.
The lifts for the winter season in Meribel often open on the first weekend of December and usually runs through until the last weekend of April. The summer season in Meribel is much shorter with the lifts usually opening in early July and closing in late August.
When Will Meribel Open This Winter?
The Meribel and Three Valley ski lift opening and closing dates for the 2021/22 season are as follows:
Meribel: 04/12/2021 - 24/04/2022
Courchevel: 04/12/2021 - 17/04/2022
Les Menuires: 04/12/2021 - 24/04/2022
St Martin de Belleville: 11/12/2021 - 10/04/2022
Val Thorens*: 20/11/2021 - 01/05/2022
*depending on snow conditions
Skiing in Meribel
The Three Valleys has an excellent infrastructure making it very easy to access both the Courchevel and Belleville valley from Meribel. The Courchevel valley can be accessed within 1 lift via the Saulire Express or Pas du Lac telecabine. The Belleville valley can be accessed within 2 lifts and Val Thorens specifically within 3 lifts.
