Meribel Mottaret: The true heart of the Three Valleys
Meribel Mottaret is the highest point of the Meribel Valley, at 1750m, so you can benefit from fantastic snow conditions. As it is the most central point of the Three Valleys, you have the best access to other resorts. If you’re a keen skier, or looking to get the most out of your ski pass, then this is the perfect place for you to stay. The slopes around Mottaret itself are also great, if you don’t want to get a pass for the whole Three Valleys.
Meribel Mottaret is purpose-built for skiers, so wherever you choose to stay, you will be within walking distance of the slopes. So, there’s no need to lug your ski equipment about, and after a hard day of skiing, you can easily make your way back to your accommodation to put your feet up and unwind. Mottaret’s central hub has everything you could need, from supermarkets, restaurants, ski hire and clothes shops, ski schools, a tourist office, night-club and even a cinema! Mottaret is also home to the thrilling Mission Black Forest toboggan run, as well as the luge on the HImalaya piste at night, which is only €12 for the night. If you’re staying with kids, then there is plenty to keep them entertained! There’s plenty to do whilst not skiing, and if you want to explore the restaurants, activities and nightlife of Meribel centre, then you can hop on the free bus service.
Top Restaurant: Chez Bif (mountain burgers) is our top pick for a lunch spot, or for an evening out we recommend La Table du Ruitor, offering traditional Savoyard dishes, a gourmet restaurant as well as an Argentinian style grill menu!
Top non-skiing activity: The cinema showing some great films every day at 20:45 and at 14:00 on bad weather days!
