Sledging in Meribel
Sledging can be loads of fun for the family or the big kids when you've had enough of skiing for the day or want to try out something new.
There are designated areas at the Altiport in Meribel. A fully secure area dedicated to sledging for the little kids. A flat slope to allow them to discover the first sensations of gliding on sledge!
You can also sledge at the Rond Point area where there is a magic carpet to take you back to the top of the slope, but children will need to be under close supervision as this area is open to skiers and boarders too.
Night Sledging
There is also night sledging in Meribel Mottaret under the Combes lift, you just take this chair lift up to the mid station. You then you sledge down the Himalaya green slope back down into the centre of Meribel Mottaret.
This gives you a 2 km toboggan run! What feels like a very gentle beginner slope on a set of skis somehow turns into a high speed racecourse when on a sledge!
Sledges are available to rent at the majority of ski shops in town.
