Skiing in Meribel Centre
Meribel Centre is the main hub of the Meribel Valley. It is the best place to stay if you want to be able to effortlessly explore everything this turly fantastic ski area has to offer.
Meribel Centre Overview
 
The main hub of lifts and ski school meeting points in Meribel Centre can be found at La Chaudanne, which is right next to the bus stop. From La Chaudanne, you can get to Courchevel, Mottaret and the Altiport area of central Meribel in one lift.
 
If you are staying higher up in Meribel Morel the Morel chairlift will take you up to the Altiport which offers great connections to the rest of the ski area. The vast majority of accommodation in the Rond-Point and Belvedere is ski-in ski-out so you will almost always be able to ski straight onto or be within 200 metres of the nearest piste.
Skiing Around Meribel Centre
 
Meribel Centre is an excellent area for all abilities as there is a wide range of piste including 9 green, 15 blue, 10 red and 3 black. Most of the green piste can found in the Altiport area of central Meribel, this is an excellent area for beginners and young children as there are designated runs that only they can use. 
Access to Other Areas
 
Thanks to Meribel Centre's central location in the ski area and the excellent infrastructure the Three Valleys has in place, accessing the other areas in the Three Valley ski resort is easy.
 
Meribel Mottaret
 
Meribel Mottaret can be accessed a number of ways from La Chaudanne in Meribel centre. From Mottaret you can then access Courchevel within 1 lift and Val Thorens within 2 lifts. 
 
The quickest and easiest way to Mottaret is via the Tougnete 1 telecabine, it is then a straight ski into the centre of Mottaret following the Pedrix piste. If you want to avoid the telecabine, catch the Legends chairlift from La Chaudanne instead.
 
Courchevel
 
The Courchevel valley can be accessed within 1 lift via the Saulire Express telecabine from La Chaudanne. From the top, there is then a few routes you can take to get to Courchevel 1850 or Courchevel 1650.
 
You can also access Courchevel from the Altiport area of central Meribel using the Loze chairlift. From there, you can ski into Courchevel La Tania, Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel 1850 or Courchevel 1550.
 
Saint Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires.
 
St Martin can be accessed from La Chaudanne by catching the Legends chairlift then a short ski along a green piste to the Cherferie chairlift, from which you then follow the blue piste Jerusalem (arguably the best piste in The Three Valley ski area) all the way into St Martin.
 
Les Menuires can be accessed from La Chaudanne by catching the Tougnete 1 telecabine then Tougnete 2 chairlift and following the blue piste, Gros Tougne, and then green piste, La Violette into Les Menuires.
Our Favourite Run
 
Catch the Saulire Express telecabine to the top and then follow the blue piste, Biche, until it meets the red piste, Chamois, and ski that back all the way down into La Chaudanne.
Ski School Meeting Points
 
The vast majority of the ski school meeting points are at La Chaudanne, by either the Rhodos or Sauliere Express telecabines.
 
ESF also meet up in Le Rond-Point and at the Altiport.
Best Area for Children and Beginners
 
The Altiport is the best are in Meribel Centre for children and beginner.
 
It is also where a lot of the ski schools take the beginner lessons, so it makes for a great spot for famillies to meet once the lesson has finished and continue skiing together.
 
The Altiport can be easily accessed from La Chaudanne via either catching the Saulire Express telecabine to the mid station and following the green run down into the Altiport, or, by catching the Rhodos Telecabine. If staying in Morel the Morel chairlift takes you directly to the Altiport.
