The Best Areas in Meribel
Meribel is the heart of the Three Valleys, the World'd largest ski resort. It is the most central and prettiest valley in the ski area. Offering fantastic skiing & snowboarding for all levels of ability and a huge range of non-skiing activities too, Meribel is perfect for groups of families and friends alike.
Meribel Centre

Meribel Centre is the main hub of the Meribel valley and offers guests the largest selection of restaurants, bars and non-skiing activities including swimming and ice skating. As Meribel Centre is located in the heart of the Three Valleys it also offers guests excellent access to explore the World's largest ski resort.

Meribel Centre has a variety of different accommodation available ranging from small self-catered apartments to fully-catered luxury traditional wooden chalets, so there is something to cater for every budget and taste.

Meribel Centre itself is split into 4 main areas. Starting at La Chaudanne the main road winds up through Morel, Le Rond-Point and Belvedere. These higher points of Meribel Centre offer many great self-catered apartments and chalets right on the slopes.

Meribel Mottaret
 
Meribel Mottaret is 1750 metres, it is the highest resort in the Meribel Valley and the most central of the Three Valley ski area. This means guests benefit from the best snow conditions and can easily explore the World's largest ski resort.​
 
Home to some great value accommodation Mottaret is a purpose-built resort which, for the most part consists of self-catered, ski-in ski-out accommodation. From the main lift station in Meribel Mottaret you can get over to Courchevel within 1-lift and Val Thorens within 2-lifts.

Meribel Village

Meribel Village is approximately a 5 minutes drive, or bus journey, from central Meribel and is often described as the prettiest resort in the Meribel valley. It is perfect for families as it has a supermarket, ski shop, bakery and there are also a couple of restaurants and bars. The chairlift out of Meribel Village takes you to the Altiport area which has protected children's areas and serves as an excellent connection to the rest of the ski area.

Similar to Meribel Centre most chalets and apartments in Meribel Village have been built in-keeping with the traditional Savoyard style. The resort comprises of many different types of accommodation; hotels, self-catered and fully-catered chalets and apartments of varying sizes and budgets.

Meribel Les Allues

Meribel Les Allues is the original town in the Meribel Valley that was there before the ski resort was built. It has the feel of a traditional alpine village and with a year round community the resort has a very welcoming atmosphere. Meribel Les Allues is perfect for a self-catered ski holiday as there is a grocery store, a ski hire shop and a few excellent bars and restaurants.

Les Allues mainly comprises of traditionally built chalets with modern interiors with a good variety of self-catered and fully-catered options available. Being further down the mountain, there is great value accommodation on offer and the larger properties are ideal for families or groups.

Meribel Le Raffort and the Meribel Hamlets
 
Meribel Le Raffort is a picturesque hamlet where you will find some stunning chalets, traditional and modern. Le Raffort is located just outside of Meribel Village and within a short drive, or bus ride, of Meribel Centre.
 
The Meribel Hamlets are the small group of hamlets that are dotted about in between Meribel Les Allues and Meribel Centre. You will often find better value chalets in these hamlets due to them being a bit further out from the centre of the resort, however, the free bus still offers excellent links to central Meribel.
 
The main Hamlets are Le Cruet, La Gittaz and Chandon. You may also come across Nantgerel and Le Plantin.
